The Influence of the Learning Environment and Learning Facilities on Student Satisfaction at SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of the learning environment and learning facilities on student satisfaction at SMA Negeri 6 Gorontalo. A quantitative approach using a survey method was employed, with data collected through validated and reliable questionnaires administered to 100 students selected through proportional sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed that both the learning environment and learning facilities had positive and statistically significant relationships with student satisfaction (p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.548) indicated that these two variables jointly explained 54.8% of the variance in student satisfaction, while the remaining 45.2% was attributable to other factors not included in the model. Learning facilities had a higher standardized regression coefficient (β = 0.516) than the learning environment (β = 0.321), suggesting a greater relative contribution to predicting student satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of a comfortable learning environment and adequate facilities in enhancing students' educational experiences. Therefore, schools should improve classroom conditions, maintain learning infrastructure, and provide relevant learning resources to enhance student satisfaction and educational quality.
