Editorial Policy
Auna Press is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in all publications. This Editorial Policy provides the principles and procedures that guide the editorial management and publication of scholarly works published by Auna Press.
1. Editorial Independence
Auna Press upholds editorial independence in the evaluation and publication of scholarly manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based on academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to knowledge, and are not influenced by commercial interests, personal relationships, institutional affiliations, political considerations, or other external pressures.
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the scholarly merits of manuscripts and relevant journal policies.
2. Editorial Responsibility
Editors are responsible for managing the editorial process fairly, objectively, and professionally. Their responsibilities include:
- conducting an initial assessment of submitted manuscripts;
- ensuring that manuscripts are appropriate for the journal's scope;
- selecting qualified reviewers;
- maintaining the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts;
- evaluating reviewers' recommendations;
- making editorial decisions based on academic considerations; and
- ensuring that publication procedures comply with applicable ethical standards.
Editors may reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scope, quality requirements, ethical standards, or submission guidelines.
3. Manuscript Evaluation
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening before entering the peer-review process. The screening may include assessment of:
- relevance to the journal's scope;
- originality and academic contribution;
- methodological quality;
- clarity and completeness of presentation;
- compliance with manuscript guidelines;
- ethical considerations; and
- potential plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are normally sent for peer review in accordance with the journal's peer-review procedures.
4. Fair and Objective Treatment
Auna Press is committed to treating all authors fairly and without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, institutional affiliation, academic position, or other personal characteristics.
Editorial decisions are based primarily on the scholarly quality and relevance of the submitted work.
5. Peer Review
Auna Press applies a peer-review process to support the quality and credibility of published research. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and the relevance of their academic background to the manuscript.
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based assessments and to disclose any potential conflict of interest.
Detailed procedures for peer review are provided in the Peer Review Process policy.
6. Confidentiality
Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related information. Manuscripts may not be disclosed to individuals who are not directly involved in the editorial process unless disclosure is necessary for legitimate editorial or ethical purposes.
Information obtained during the review process must not be used for personal or professional advantage.
7. Conflicts of Interest
Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any circumstances that could create an actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest.
Editors should not handle manuscripts when they have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, or research presented in the manuscript. Appropriate alternative editors or editorial procedures should be used when necessary.
8. Research and Publication Ethics
Auna Press expects authors to comply with recognized principles of research and publication ethics. Manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or other forms of academic misconduct.
Where ethical concerns arise, Auna Press may conduct an investigation and take appropriate action, including correction, retraction, or other measures when warranted.
9. Authorship and Contributions
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the research and who have participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
All listed authors should approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication. Changes to authorship after submission should be properly justified and approved by all relevant authors.
10. Corrections and Retractions
Auna Press recognizes its responsibility to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections may be published when errors are identified that affect the accuracy or interpretation of a published work.
Articles may be retracted when substantial errors, research misconduct, plagiarism, fraudulent data, or other serious ethical or scholarly problems are identified.
Corrections and retractions will be handled transparently and in accordance with applicable publication-ethics principles.
11. Editorial Misconduct
Concerns regarding editorial misconduct, inappropriate editorial practices, conflicts of interest, or violations of publication ethics may be reported to Auna Press.
All concerns will be assessed objectively and, where appropriate, investigated while maintaining confidentiality and procedural fairness.
12. Transparency and Accountability
Auna Press seeks to maintain transparent editorial and publication practices. Relevant information concerning editorial procedures, peer review, publication ethics, authorship, conflicts of interest, copyright, licensing, open access, and article processing charges is made available through the relevant journal policies.
13. Policy Review
This Editorial Policy may be periodically reviewed and updated to reflect developments in scholarly publishing, research ethics, technological practices, and applicable standards.
Auna Press is committed to continuously improving its editorial processes to support trustworthy, responsible, and high-quality scholarly communication.
